Searching for the particular
As a photographer I understand my present work as a probe of reality and a search for the particular. My explorations within photography led me from pure and unaltered documentation of subjects to experiments with fleeting moments. To explore the landscapes and scenarios for THE ONGOING I utilise time, perspective and viewpoints to generate my images.
THE ONGOING is inspired by landscapes exposed to strong human or environmental activities, the series presents recent experiments and findings. It merges multiple observations of the chosen locations.
Technically I am cutting out major indications of depths and visual figurative constants to render the incidence of light and form. Although for the viewer, the response to the known will suffice in making the image look ’natural‘, a closer investigation reveals the aforementioned intervention and unique viewpoint of the space. The images shown are the originals. Future copies of the images will appear further modified and adjusted.
