The History Lesson
There are many historic photographs present that the white photographers discovered and record in Asia, Africa and India. It seems a very common scene that the color people serve the. Is it really interesting to discover as an adventurist and be served as a noble? And, what could these adventurers and nobles gain? As an Asian I would like to experience how does it feel in the UK, probably the most strong adventurism and colonialism country in the world. Therefore, I started a trip and photographed with the people who serve tourists as job. It seems I have become an Asian adventurer in the UK just like those past European adventurers in Asia. For photography this journey not only brought it back home to the Europe but also verifies an old Chinese saying to me, “Traveling thousands of miles is better than reading thousands of books”.
