We are never really by ourselves in our rooms (paintings and drawings).
My work is about relationships between people, their private struggles and the strange positions we take every day.
What I am looking for is a certain tension within situations.
The acrobat or contortionist is someone who pushes his body and his abilities to the limit of the impossible to surprise and entertain the spectators.
Part of this remains in my pictures, but the characters are shown in their private environment, so that it is not clear who this spectacle is for.

In my animation the body of a woman explodes into pieces. Each piece is endowed with new life.
They rebel to the imposed order and create chaos.
